Weekend Retreat: "Come to me you who labour and carry heavy burdens . . . and I will give you rest."
Weekend Retreat: David Wells
Why are we living like this? Why are running so fast and carrying so much?
Is there not another way of living life to the full without being conflicted
All the time? Why not take a few days out, breathe slowly, relax and think?
You are resourceful, creative, capable of amazing things. So put away the
the relentless pace. Take a few days off meeting expectations and find the
other “you”. The one who has gotten buried under a list of unfinished jobs.
This weekend is a gentle and humourous approach to wellness, rooted in the
Scriptures. The sessions will enable you to reflect on things without feeling
any pressure to contribute. You can spend the weekend quietly listening and
thinking or in conversation with other remarkable people. You decide. If it
helps, come with a friend so that you can experience it together.
The sessions are inspired by such writers as Thomas Merton, Joan Chittister,
Henri Nouwen, Ronald Rolheiser, C.S Lewis and Richard Rohr. What ever it
will be, it won’t be dull!
